To me as a Warrior, I am defined, in part, by the blade I carry. In Kosovo I carried a Tanto blade fix-blade which horrified the Dirt-bags and….my superiors as well. When I approached a group of rowdy young men, older ones too, they paid little attention to the M9 (9mm Beretta) but did pay attention to my Tanto fix-blade. They did not fear me. They did not fear my firearm. They feared my large fix-blade knife. They became very nervous as their cohesion melted away. In every group there is that one, who asks about the “knife”. I was more than happy to pull out the shiny Tanto causing even more fear.

It was not long till among the antagonists, I was known for this knife. When a disturbance in a coffee bar broke out or a dispute in a remote village started to get out of hand, those warriors who carried a fix-blade on their belt were respected. When these UN Police made a command, it was followed. I yelled commands across a small valley to Serbians who were cutting wood illegally. All 23 of them and their tractors, followed me back to HQ. Not a one raised their voice. Not a one fled. The respect for me and my Warrior’s Blade carry through. The Warrior’s Blade is a weapon which commands respect from the Evil among us and by the Warriors who wielded it.

The Apache Dawn Rockies Edition warrior’s fix-blade weapon was designed by the warriors at TOPS Knives. TOPS Knives are known around the world and carried by a host of special Ops, Airborne, Marines, Army and other American Hero’s such as United States Coast Guard. So it was no surprise to me when TOPS came out with the Apache Dawn Rockies warrior’s blade.

I have not received a sample for testing, but I can professionally guarantee the quality and craftsmanship of the warrior’s blade “Apache Dawn Rockies” made by TOPS Knives. The men and women of TOPS produce only quality knives and survival cutting tools. I personally own several of their blades. I carried a “Felony Stop” while in uniform. The effect was the same as it was in Kosovo. A professionally made Warrior’s Blade commands respect.

The Apache Dawn Rockies is truly a warrior’s blade but can be used for many things other than combat. The 6.75 inch blade is just a quarter inch short of the standard military not-issued combat knife. (I say not-issued because our military does not issue a warrior’s blade to our heart breakers and life takers.) I prefer a combat knife with a blade length from 5-7 inches. The reason is, this knife can be used for utilitarian purposes such as light prying, cutting up sandbags, opening thin metal containers, chopping and general camp duty.

The Apache Dawn Rockies is well designed by TOPS. The blade design is excellent for most all demands including dispatching the Evil in the World. The G10 Handles (scales) have the “Rocky Mountain Tread” and my favorite….pronounced finger guard, will give any proud Warrior a solid grip. Tipping in at just under a pound, the Apache Dawn Rockies warrior’s knife is perfect for those warriors and sheepdogs who have sworn to “Brace” Evil wherever found.
