While at a Cowboy Shoot, I talked to a vendor who makes really nice gun totes. I looked over his selection and can say they are quality made, in Oklahoma USA. This vendor is, what my 93 year old dad would call, a Trump Startup company. Small business started hoping to grow and prosper. The American dream.
One of his newest products is what I call a “Gun Pocket”. It is much like a padded envelope but made of heavy duty nylon. The Gun Pocket has three strong magnets sowed in one side. Depending on how slick the metal is, can hold up to a five pound medium size pistol. At the end of this opening there is a Velcro strap to hold in the firearm in when transporting. At one side of this end there is a two inch lip which aids in keeping the firearm in place while being used.
You use this Gun Pocket by placing it onto a metal surface such as desk or where you prefer to stage a pistol for defense. If the surface is slick like my metal front door (pictured), then a lighter pistol would be required. My PMR30 works great as it is only 20 ounces loaded with 30 rounds of .22mag….a great home defense pistol. Great product from another hard working American.
