The Springfield Armory’s Hellcat RDP is for Warrior Men and Women

I would like to thank you for coming to my website. Click on the video link which takes you to YouTube. If you would, give us a like and follow I would be honored. Springfield sent me their Hellcat RDP 9mm which has a manual safety. For striker fired semi-auto pistols, I appreciate a manual safety. I greatly appreciate Springfield Armory for the sample of this version of their Hellcat.

The Springfield Hellcat is the highest capacity micro 9mm in the world. By the time you read this article in the comment section of the YouTube video, some other manufacture will likely be scheming to take the title with at least one more round. But until then, the Hellcat is the champ.

This Hellcat model has Sprinfield’s Rapid Defense Package (RDP) configuration. The RDP combined with the Shield SMSc micro red dot plus the self-indexing compensator, and Gen 2 trigger makes for an excellent CCW. Now looking at the Hellcat with the compensator you would think this would not be an easy carry. However, actually it is any easy carry. Galco has their Speed Master paddle holster for this model of Hellcat. If you are not a fan of the paddle system, I like this system, Galco included the parts to make this holster attach on a belt. This conversion also can be adjusted for belt width. The single mag belt case is excellent as well. Galco is one of, if not the finest leather maker on planet earth.

Check out the video wherein Steve helps me test the Hellcat. Recent cataract removal surgery to my right eye went south. I was blinded and had emergency surgery two days later. The right eye is still not close to be usable for shooting. Gridley has family so I called backup. Steve just retired and will be joining me for more test and evaluations.

In the video Steve shoots at several different metal targets. He did quite well on hitting what he was aiming at. I did fire the Hellcat down range to get the feel of the weapon being fired. I wanted to know how the trigger action was. The trigger was stiff took some getting use to. Breaking down the Hellcat and applying some lube did help a great deal.

Steve loved the way the Hellcat shoots. The compensator helped a great deal with the Hornady 115 gr. Critical Defense. This round is low on recoil but very deadly to wondering zombies who would wish you harm. The compensator even enhanced the control of the recoil. For me shooting eleven rounds did little for me to get to know the Hellcat. Steve was very impressed. However, with the entire Pro package including the Shield SMSc red dot and micro compact with 14 rounds (13+1) of dirt-nap pills the Hellcat is excellent for CCW or for my off-duty brothers and sisters.

Be safe out there as evil is afoot!
